This makes the cluster one of the most efficient cluster management organisations in Germany.
A total of 21 clusters from the 85 clusters represented in the “go-cluster” programme are Bavarian, five of them are from Regensburg and four of them are based in the TechBase. The E-Mobility Cluster Regensburg takes care of 40 members and 30 cooperation partners as well as more than 30 research and development projects. Through broad networking, versatile cooperation and the initiation and funding of around 30 research projects to date with a total funding volume of over five million euros, the E-Mobility Cluster Regensburg aims to shape the future of electromobility in a sustainable manner.
“The inclusion of the E-Mobility Cluster Regensburg in the go-cluster initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Technology is a clear indication of the very successful cluster policy of the City of Regensburg,” says Philipp Berr, Head of the Science, Technology and Cluster Department of the Office of Economic Affairs and Science of the City of Regensburg.
The cluster unites entrepreneurs, experts, scientists, sponsors, students and interested parties on a common platform and focuses on the increasing importance of the future topic of electromobility. Uwe Pfeil, Manager of the E-Mobility Cluster Regensburg and recently Europe’s Cluster Manager of the Year 2020, said about the admission to the initiative: “The E-Mobility Cluster Regensburg makes an important contribution to the traffic turnaround and the transformation of the automotive industry. Therefore, the inclusion in the BMWi’s “go-cluster” programme is a further seal of approval that further supports us in this work”.
